The body of Danilo Ghiani, the victim of the accident that occurred last night on provincial road 15 between Maracalagonis and Vecchia Orientale, has been returned to his family.
The funeral of the young man who would have turned 22 next October will take place on Tuesday with the funeral mass which will be celebrated at 3.30 pm in the church of the village of Sant'Isidoro, on the old Orientale.
Immediately afterwards the body will be buried in the Quartucciu cemetery.
Great condolences throughout the area where Danilo, a former scout and electromechanic, was known and esteemed like his parents Renato and Marina. He was expected at home after a birthday party.
He was driving his BMW when on the provincial road that leads from Maracalagonis to the old Orientale, he lost control of the steering wheel, skidding off the road and crashing into a vineyard, at a bend which had seen several accidents in the past.
He died half an hour after arriving at the Brotzu hospital without having regained consciousness. The legal findings were carried out by the Carabinieri of the Mobile Radio Operations Unit coordinated by Major Michele Cerri and Captain Ignazio Cabras.
