There was a panic in the town of Nurri. Around 11 a.m. on Via Flumendosa , a fuel tank caught fire. Several people worked to put out the flames, but while they were doing so , the tank exploded, causing a huge boom and a flame about 30 meters high.

About twenty people were working around the tank to put out the fire when the explosion occurred, but it went upwards and not sideways.

The blast nevertheless reached a 39-year-old man, Luca Atzeni, who was rescued by SOS Nurri with the Alfa 97 ambulance, then Atzeni was transported by helicopter to Brotzu.

His condition is not serious, and his burns are not serious. Firefighters also responded to the scene.
