Two people were seriously injured in a road accident that occurred this afternoon on State Road 292 in the Nurachi area, on the stretch leading to Donigala.

For reasons yet to be determined by the Carabinieri, a Jeep and a Fiat Doblò collided head-on. The impact was so violent that emergency services were immediately alerted. Ambulances arrived on the scene and provided first aid to the injured, who were stabilized and then taken to the San Martino Emergency Room. A 68-year-old man from Samugheo was given a red code, while a 55-year-old woman from Cabras was assigned an orange code. Both suffered multiple traumas and injuries; their condition is critical but not life-threatening.

The accident investigation was carried out by the Carabinieri of the Riola Sardo station, who are working to ascertain any responsibilities.
Traffic on State Road 292 slowed during the rescue operations and the securing of vehicles; traffic was regulated by the Carabinieri and resumed normal operations once the operations were completed.
