The "Franco Frogheri" Municipal Stadium in Nuoro reopened this evening, following the forced closure imposed in recent days due to the risk of collapse of one of the lighting towers. The official announcement was made by the Municipality, which revoked the September 16 ordinance, issued as a precautionary measure to protect public safety.
According to the administration, static assessments of the lighthouse tower revealed critical issues requiring urgent intervention. The safety measures, carried out promptly, eliminated the hazard and restored the entire structure to usability.
In addition to the stadium, the tennis and padel courts located in the sports area are now fully accessible again. Sports club activities and public access can therefore resume as normal.
"The safety of our facilities is a priority," said Mayor Emiliano Fenu, who signed the revocation order.
Deputy Mayor and Sports Councilor Natascia Demurtas also expressed satisfaction, emphasizing the importance of timely interventions to minimize disruption and ensure the continuity of sporting activities in the city.
