Alarm this morning in the centre of Nuoro , in the Santu Predu neighbourhood, where a 78-year-old plumber was found dead in his home.
According to initial findings, the man's body was in an advanced state of decomposition, indicating that he had died several days ago.
The alarm was raised by a customer who was waiting for the man for a previously agreed-upon job . After numerous unanswered attempts to contact him, he decided to seek help.
Once on site, the police and firefighters entered the house, where the tragic discovery took place.
Police officers and firefighters intervened in the case to carry out the usual investigations. The public prosecutor on duty, Sandra Maria Benedetta Picicuto, was also informed.
Initial assessments suggest that death was due to natural causes and there were no signs of violence.
