After weeks of inconvenience and nightmare Sundays with long queues under the sun for roadworks , a new measure has been introduced that will affect the state road 131 Dcn (Nuoro Central Branch): Anas has announced the total closure of the road section at the Nuoro exit for asphalting work.
The road closure will be in effect from 10:00 PM on July 18th until 6:00 AM on July 19th, 2025, and will affect both carriageways, both towards Nuoro and Olbia.
In detail, the northbound carriageway, in the direction of Olbia , will be closed to traffic from kilometre 50+150 (Nuoro-Prato Sardo junction) to kilometre 61+400 (Orune-La Solitudine junction), while the southbound carriageway, in the direction of Nuoro, will be closed from kilometre 61+760 (Orune-La Solitudine junction) to kilometre 50+050 (Nuoro - Parto Sardo).
The closure is total and will affect all road users.
As a result of this closure, all traffic will be diverted within the Municipality of Nuoro, with a mandatory route through some of the city's main arteries. Those traveling towards Nuoro from Olbia must exit at the Orune junction located at km 60+770 and continue along Provincial Road 45 until the entrance to the town, at Via della Solitudine. From there, traffic will continue along Via Antonio Ballero, crossing Piazza Italia, then Via Trieste and Via Mannironi, until it joins the former state road 389 "di Buddusò e del Correboi," finally reaching the 131 DCN near the junction at km 50+572.
Those heading towards Olbia, coming from Nuoro , will be diverted at km 50+150 onto the Nuoro-bound road, then merge onto the former state road 389 "di Buddusò e del Correboi" and cross Via Mannironi, Via Trieste, Piazza Italia, Via Antonio Ballero, and Viale della Solitudine. From there, the route will continue along the SP 45 until the junction at km 60+770, where it will be possible to rejoin the state road 131 DCN towards Olbia.
The work, although limited to just one night, is considered necessary to improve the quality of the road surface . It is hoped that, after the long summer Sundays marked by traffic delays, this work will allow for greater traffic flow in the coming weeks.
