"Good morning moms, the teacher called to tell me that there's no water at school and that the class will be dismissed at 12."
This is the message received this morning by the families of students at Calamida Primary School in Nuoro, forced to deal with the early suspension of classes.
The outage is related to a burst water main in the city's aqueduct on Via Lamarmora. Abbanoa announced it will suspend service in the affected areas starting at 10:45 a.m., with completion expected by 4:30 p.m.
Minority councilor Maura Chessa intervenes in the matter, demanding answers from the Public Works councilor, Giulia Corda , and concrete solutions to avoid the repetition of similar situations.
"In 2026, it's unacceptable that children have to go home at noon due to a lack of water. Families can't continue to pay the price for a recurring problem," says Chessa, reviving the proposal to install tanks in school buildings to ensure a water reserve and ensure the continuity of lessons.
