A 74-year-old man was hit this morning on Viale Trieste, in Nuoro, near the pedestrian crossing at number 35. The pedestrian, who was in the immediate vicinity of the crossing, was promptly rescued and transported by ambulance to the emergency room of the San Francesco hospital. Fortunately, his condition does not appear to be serious and his life is not in danger.

The man was hit by a 78-year-old woman who, according to initial reconstructions, hit the pedestrian while crossing the road. The Local Police intervened on site to carry out surveys and reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.

Traffic in the area slowed down during rescue and safety operations, but the situation returned to normal shortly thereafter.
