It is a December that promises to be effervescent for city politics in view of the next municipal elections in Nuoro that will be held in spring.

Today the Movimento Uniti announced the start of the center-left discussion table in the city for next Saturday, December 7. The announcement was made by city councilor Sebastian Cocco, who recalls that the Movement "has already begun a series of discussions with the economic, associative, and student realities of the city and will bring the suggestions that will emerge from these meetings on Saturday, December 7, when the political forces that are in agreement with this vision, both ideal and pragmatic , will gather in a "wise field", as well as broad".

In view of the administrative elections next spring, the movement Uniti per Alessandra Todde, which has merged with Italia in Comune, positively evaluates the debate underway in Nuoro on the prospects of city government.

"In the last two budget laws, the Region has allocated over 10 million euros to our city for infrastructure and services, to which are added approximately 400 million euros for the Nuorese with the Cohesion Funds. An attention never seen before - underlines Cocco - not only for the amount of resources but for the speed with which it was allocated, if you consider that the new regional government has been in office for just six months. The last right-wing government, with the complicity of their territorial representatives who would like to re-present themselves under a new guise - he continues - has not only further marginalized the Nuorese, but has also plundered it by taking away university courses in favor of Olbia and giving the forestry school to Pula ".

According to Cocco, the climate has definitely changed. «In this context» he speaks of «a season of rebirth for the capital and the entire territory, wisdom would dictate that all democratic, popular, progressive, moderate and civic forces unite with the aim of spending these resources quickly and well, ensuring that the city is ready to face the challenges of the present and the future, starting with the Einstein Telescope . We need a local government team that creates and maintains a constant and direct axis with the Sardinia Region, with a proactive spirit, for once leaving the logic of self-absolving lamentation , of instrumental opposition, of particularisms, of personal ambitions, of overcooked recipes, of inconclusive administrative experiments».
