New multi-organ harvest at the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro. The operation dates back to Sunday, when the relatives of a patient admitted and deceased in intensive care agreed to the removal.

The harvesting activity was made possible thanks to the great generosity of the relatives, who accepted the proposal of donation, allowing other people on the transplant waiting list to benefit from it. The complex process that leads from the donation to the harvesting of the organs was therefore immediately activated, after the procedures for ascertaining death.

The lung, heart, liver and kidneys were then removed. The transplants were performed regularly.
