Today, a landslide caused the collapse of a portion of the perimeter wall and part of the garden of a villa on Via Firenze, in Nuoro, which overlooks the large excavation site on Viale della Resistenza.

The gardens of the houses upstream were all closed to their owners, while downstream from the earthwork, part of Via della Resistenza suffered cracks in the asphalt and was cordoned off following the intervention of firefighters and municipal police. The houses, built on a gentle hill, now overlook a nearly 15-meter-deep earthwork where the collapse occurred.

The Nuoro Public Prosecutor's Office, following a complaint from the owners, had already opened an investigation in November 2025, following reports from residents of cracks and subsidence in the ground.
