Nuoro journalist Angela Azzaro dies at 59

Deep mourning also spread in Nuoro, her hometown, over the death of journalist Angela Azzaro. She passed away in Rome at the age of 59.

A political expert, at the forefront of women's rights and advocacy, and a frequent guest on television talk shows, brilliant and highly regarded, she was editor-in-chief of Liberazione, deputy editor of Dubbio, and, until April 2023, deputy editor of Riformista, and a contributor to the Huffington Post. In 2022 , she was awarded the "Rondine d'oro" award in Nuoro, a city with which she maintained a deep bond. Her funeral was held Tuesday in the Church of San Giuseppe in Nuoro.
