This morning a Citroen C3 caught fire while traveling on the Statale 131 Dcn, at kilometer 77 in the direction of Nuoro, immediately after Monte Pizzinnu.

According to initial reports, the fire may have been caused by a vehicle malfunction, perhaps aggravated by the high temperatures in the early hours of the day.

The driver managed to pull over in time and get away from the car before the flames completely engulfed the vehicle.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Emergency services and law enforcement are on site to secure the area and restore traffic flow.
