The anti-breathalyzer bus is gaining popularity. Season ticket holders doubled and the Movidino (movement bus) saw unexpected success, as well as funding to improve city services. This is what the Nuoro ATP (National Tourist Board) has achieved in a year filled with progress and user satisfaction, particularly during the summer season, when connections to Monte Ortobene reassured the oasis's operators.

A bus runs every 50 minutes to the mountain, compared to the two regular services in winter, as well as free shuttles every 10 minutes on August 29th for the last day of the Redentore festival, departing from Solitudine. There are also discounts for students, and annual passes are almost free.

There are many ideas and projects, and over two million euros have been donated to make them a reality. "We have received funding for the installation of 30 new information poles with displays at the bus stops," says ATP Nuoro General Manager Mauro Piras.

The buses will be equipped with new technological systems for credit card payments, and the tickets will also be changed . The funding, already provided by the Region, is approximately 2.2 million euros, which also includes the upgrade of the depot infrastructure for the charging systems of the electric buses. The new contract is scheduled for October.
