In Nuoro, he had already been issued a DACUR (urban ban on arrest), following a series of incidents that led authorities to deem him a social risk. In recent days, the Algerian citizen was expelled from Italy and repatriated to his country of origin. The measure, issued by the Prefect of Nuoro and executed by the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters, concerned an Algerian national who entered Italy illegally in 2020. According to the Police Headquarters, he had numerous prior convictions for possession of weapons and objects capable of causing offence, illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing, and robbery.
The man was also subject to the aggravated ban on access to urban areas (DACUR), a preventive measure adopted against individuals deemed a threat to public order and safety. After obtaining identification from the Algerian consular authorities, the officers accompanied him to Rome Fiumicino Airport, where he boarded a flight to Algeria, thus executing the expulsion order.
