Despite already being under house arrest for resisting a public officer, he allegedly continued to mistreat his live-in partner, subjecting her to constant physical and psychological abuse. For this reason, a 32-year-old man from Nuoro, already known to law enforcement, was arrested by the Flying Squad pursuant to a pre-trial detention order issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Nuoro Court.

The order was executed yesterday by officers from the Crimes Against Persons, Minors, and Sexual Offenses Section of the Flying Squad, following an investigation coordinated by the Nuoro Public Prosecutor's Office. According to investigators' findings, the victim, a 23-year-old woman from Nuoro and the suspect's partner, had suffered a prolonged series of harassing behaviors, characterized by physical and psychological abuse, assaults, insults, threats, and constant humiliation, making their relationship and cohabitation increasingly painful and unbearable.

The investigation allowed the young woman's statements to be corroborated, including through testimony gathered by investigators. The man, who was under house arrest for resisting arrest, had recently been issued a verbal warning and a caution by the Nuoro Police Chief. The 32-year-old was transferred to the Nuoro Badu 'e Carros prison.
