As many as 320 kilos of food - prawns, calamari and tuna steaks but also pre-cooked and frozen pork - without labels and traceability.

This is what emerged from an inspection by the Carabinieri of the Nas of Sassari in a restaurant in the province of Nuoro.

The food, with a total commercial value of approximately 10,000 euros, had no indication of its traceability, as required by the HACCP self-control procedures.

Not only that: the kitchen of the restaurant was completely dirty, with manufacturing waste on the floors, and the part used as a warehouse for food and drinks had not been notified to the competent authority.
The owner was fined 5,500 euros. The identified deficiencies were reported to the ASL.

The Nas Carabinieri of Sassari "are carrying out checks aimed at guaranteeing food safety and the protection of consumer health, in particular inspecting and monitoring the catering activities located in all tourist locations".
