Nearly 20,000 projects totaling nearly five billion. Sardinia, in terms of NRRP funding, is just over a fifth of the way through: 21.9% of the project is complete, below the national average of 26%. This percentage refers not to the number of projects , which are precisely 19,262 on the island, but to the financial resources associated with the plans. 78.1% is still underway.

These are the Sardinian numbers, as of July 1st, according to the ReGiS database that monitors the administrative progress.

Medio Campidano is the most advanced, with a progress rate of 59.3 percent on a €220 million project. The other provinces are: Cagliari 30.5%, Carbonia Iglesias 13.3%, Nuoro 33.3%, Ogliastra 17%, Olbia Tempio 9.6%, Oristano 40.3%, Sassari 24.7%, and Southern Sardinia 25.8%.

The largest amounts went to Cagliari and Sassari, over one billion for 3,834 and 5,795 projects respectively.

The sectors? Nearly one billion for digitalization, over 1.5 billion for the ecological transition. And then 409 million for infrastructure and 835 for education and research. Completing the picture are inclusion and cohesion (370), health (459), and Repower EU (296).
