The path to the establishment of the Nora Regional Archaeological Park. In recent days, the first technical discussions were held in the Pula City Council Chamber, part of the administrative process leading to the area's recognition as a Regional Archaeological Park.

The project covers a large portion of the territory, from the Nora lagoon to the island of San Macario, and aims to define a shared model for the protection, management, and enhancement of the historical, archaeological, and environmental heritage.

A total of four working groups were organized. Two focused on aspects related to the protection, management, and enhancement of the area's tangible and intangible assets, while the other two focused on engagement with the local economic and productive fabric, involving key stakeholders.

The meetings helped identify the main critical issues to be addressed and, at the same time, highlight the potential of the archaeological complex and the surrounding area, initiating a process of consultation between institutions and stakeholders.

"The shared analysis has highlighted significant opportunities and untapped potential," says Mayor Walter Cabasino . "The municipal administration's goal is to systematize these resources through a strategic development plan capable of producing tangible benefits for the area, fostering economic development, increasing tourism attractiveness, and creating new employment opportunities for the community."

The technical discussions represent one of the first steps in the administrative process that will lead to the definition of the Regional Archaeological Park, a project aimed at strengthening the protection and promotion of one of Sardinia's most important archaeological sites.
