Even today the 400 students of the "Sebastiano Satta" high school of Human Sciences in Nuoro have deserted the classrooms, in protest against the stringent rules and prohibitions imposed by the school principal : no piercings, no long nails, no recreation, withdrawal of mobile phones before class, only one trip per class to the drink and food dispensers.

"The student is not afraid, we want a free school", they shouted in via Deffenu, after having posted the billboards on the balustrade of the school's steps, amidst the whistles and slogans that went on all morning.

"There is not only the problem of piercing and nails - attacks Angelo - we want to remember that we are here because we spend 5 hours sitting, there is no recess and we have 10 minutes of break every hour at the discretion of the teacher. We have a very large courtyard and we cannot use it, in the branch we have a bathroom for one hundred students that we share with the professors. We will continue to talk to the principal who repeats that the school council must meet to decide. Let them meet to give us back our rights, but they must be put black on white ".

"We went to meet the principal, we reviewed our positions with her, we want the school board not to be afraid to express their opinion and to be on our side", adds Emilian. Angela, a student with nose piercing, also spoke: "The safety rules on piercings and nails are fine, but no to the disciplinary note that affects the vote of conduct, the penalty should only concern the matter".

The principal Carla Rita Marchetti has already expressed several openings to meet the students: now the responses of the school council are awaited. In the meantime, the boys may not return to the classroom on Monday.
