As part of the initiative “Nessuno è straniero all'umanità”, Sardinia is preparing to host three days of awareness to combat prejudice, stereotypes and incitement to hatred towards migrants. Promoted by the Regional Department of Labor, in collaboration with CREI-ACLI, the ACLI of Sardinia and Spazi d'Ascolto, the initiative aims to involve especially young people, including migrants present on the island, through effective and conscious communication.

The calendar of activities includes three key events: 18 October, on the occasion of the European Day against Trafficking in Human Beings, 25 November for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and 10 December for the World Human Rights Day, which this year will focus on the theme of equality .

Cagliari, Quartu, Iglesias, Nuoro and Sassari will be the protagonists of flash mobs, information campaigns and moments of reflection. Starting from October 18, an online campaign will share data on labor exploitation and give a voice to those who have experienced human trafficking, thanks also to young people who, through videos and hip hop-style musical compositions, will raise awareness among the population.

The materials produced will be used to animate the Sardinian squares with performances, testimonies and storytelling activities, while ACLI experts and volunteers will disseminate further information through local media.
