"A unique opportunity for the whole of Sardinia: for the first time, a grand New Year's Eve live on TV that unites the island, with Alghero as the lead event and with connections to other Sardinian cities participating in the "Capodanno" competition." The president of the Alghero Foundation, Graziano Porcu, is pleased with the decision to promote the great New Year's Eve show starting in Alghero.

This is a huge responsibility for the Foundation, which will have to coordinate all organizational aspects and manage the three million euro call for proposals.

"The Sardinia Region has chosen to sign an agreement with the Municipality of Alghero, which will entrust the entire process to the Alghero Foundation. For this reason, I would also like to publicly thank our Mayor Raimondo Cacciotto, who has shown great confidence in the work done so far by the Alghero Foundation. The media impact of this operation is enormous," Porcu adds. "We're talking about a promotional campaign that, in the two weeks leading up to the event, will be broadcast in high-frequency rotation across the broadcaster's entire national network, before and after the main news programs, in prime-time slots, and in prime time, reaching the entire Italian territory, even before the live broadcast on December 31st. Last year, this campaign reached at least 3,500,000 viewers in a single evening (Rai 5,200,000, Fininvest 3,500,000)."

It's important to emphasize that this will be a public tender, in which the companies owning the generalist TV channels broadcasting between the first and ninth digital terrestrial channels will be free to choose whether or not to participate, as required by the regional resolution. "This is a significant responsibility," confirms Graziano Porcu, "which, as president and on behalf of Board members Roberto Fiori and Elisa Finetti, we embrace with conviction: no challenge is won without the best professionals, and the Foundation, once again, is demonstrating that it has them within its staff."
