A New Year's Eve marked by clouds and a mistral wind on the island. The sun will leave Sardinia's skies for a few days, where some rain, mist, and fog will dominate.
According to experts from the Italian Air Force weather office in Decimomannu, the after-effects of the weather system that hit the region in recent days will be felt on the island : residual rain is therefore expected in the central-southwestern area, where the mistral wind will arrive as early as Tuesday the 30th, potentially reaching speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour.
Between Wednesday, December 31st and Thursday, January 1st , visibility will decrease, with mist and fog along the coasts and variable cloud cover . "But severe cold is not expected," weather experts specify, "with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 12°F. A new low-pressure system is expected on the evening of Thursday, January 1st, bringing rain to much of the island.
