The alarm was raised by the Nuoro Local Health Authority : in these hours, several citizens are receiving suspicious text messages from numbers with the 351 prefix, but also 352, containing the invitation to contact a premium rate number with the 893 prefix for alleged "urgent communications on the vaccination status of their child".
"This is most likely a scam," warns the health authority, which specifies that the Public Health and Hygiene Service (SISP) does not use mobile phone numbers to contact users and does not send text messages of this type.
For this reason, the public is urged to do not call the number provided in the message and to be extremely cautious of misleading communications that could result in unwanted charges or theft of personal information. The Local Health Authority also reminds the public of the official channels for contacting the Public Health and Hygiene Service.
The offices at Via Trieste 80, Nuoro, are open to the public on the following days and times: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Tuesday afternoons are also open from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For email communications, please write to vaccinazioni.nuoro@aslnuoro.it or igienepubblica.nuoro@aslnuoro.it. Finally, the Health Authority reiterates its call for caution, stressing the importance of always verifying the authenticity of communications received, especially when they concern sensitive issues such as health.
