New State Road 195, ANAS announces: "Another 3 kilometers to open on July 9th."
The stretch of road in the Capoterra areaAnas announces the opening to traffic of a new stretch of state road 195. This section comprises the last 3 km of Lot 1 of state road 195 Bis Nuova Sulcitana, between the junction with the new "Bretella di Capoterra" (formerly the Consortium road) in the "Campu de Argiolas" area, near the TecnoCasic composting plant, and the "Capoterra-SP 91" junction in the municipality of Capoterra.
«This opening completes the construction of the state road 195 Bis “Nuova Sulcitana” , a main four-lane extra-urban road that runs for approximately 17 km between the Casic incinerator roundabout, on the Dorsale Consortile Industriale, and the Pula roundabout, at km 28 of the old state road 195 “Sulcitana”, ensuring the continuity of the four-lane route between Capoterra and Pula, passing through Sarroch and Villa San Pietro».
The soon-to-be-opened section completes Lot 1, approximately 8 km in length. Of this, 5 km has already been open to traffic since September 2024, between the "Capoterra-SP 91" and "Su Loi-Villa d'Orri" junctions, up to the junction with Lot 2, under the jurisdiction of Cacip. The new section also includes the viaduct over the Rio Santa Lucia, approximately 600 meters long, and the viaduct over the Fascia Tubiera industriale, approximately 90 meters long.
The project, according to a statement, also included the modernization of the "Bretella di Capoterra" (formerly the Consortium Road) , which extends for approximately 2.5 km between the start of Lot 1, near the TecnoCasic plant, and the coastal section of State Road 195, connecting the new road to the old one at km 8 of the state road. The upgrade works were completed on June 26th and, with the opening of the new section, allow for full connection between the new infrastructure and the existing road system.
