"We are waiting for the Region to decide on the 50 million allocated in the budget for the new stadium and above all to definitively establish which site will be for the new rossoblù home".

So the mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu about the long-awaited "Gigi Riva" plant project.

«The theme – explains the mayor – is to build the stadium. And to build the stadium you need money. If they give them to the Municipality, after the decision-making conference is closed, we go to the council to approve the economic and financial plan. Once that is done, the competition begins. But without the money, I can't move."

As for the process, "next week - continues Truzzu - there will be a technical meeting probably in preparation for the services conference called for 3 July on the approval of the project".
