The Municipality of Uri, responding to the regional notice "for the strengthening of the barracellari companies for the purchase of vehicles and equipment for operational needs, emergencies and surveillance as an aid to the communities in order to respond immediately to the needs of the territories", has obtained a contribution of 106,600 euros for the purchase of a new fire-fighting vehicle to be allocated to the barracellari company of the town.

The fleet of vehicles available to the green uniforms is therefore growing, enhancing the current means available to the Barracelli, to deal with emergencies in the territory. The vehicle will be used in the fire-fighting campaign started at the beginning of the season marked by too many fires that have destroyed countryside, hectares of land and brought several agricultural companies to their knees.

"We thank our Barracellare company for the constant collaboration with the administration and the availability always shown in favor of the common good," said the mayor, Matteo Emanuele Dettori, "and we wish good work to the commander, Captain Giovanni Antonio Solinas and to all the individual members."
