New centenarian in Olbia: Antonietta Lorenzi has reached the milestone of a century of life in the capital of Gallura where she has lived since 1971.
Yesterday, the new centenarian received the greetings of the mayor, Settimo Nizzi, who celebrated Antonietta together with her only daughter, Ornella. Born in Ventimiglia, a metalworker, who arrived in Olbia after retiring, Antonietta Lorenzi has two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Thus, the list of centenarians residing in the city grows longer, where, according to Demo Istat 2025 data, fourteen live, making Olbia the Gallura municipality with the highest concentration of inhabitants who have turned one hundred.
Olbia is followed by Arzachena with eight, and La Maddalena and Aglientu with five each. In total, Gallura is home to fifty-three centenarians, forty-six of whom are women.
