Neptune's Cave risks ending up in private hands and the municipal council led by mayor Mario Conoci has launched an appeal to the Region to take note of the extraordinary landscape, archaeological and cultural value of the karst complex of Alghero.
«I hope that the new regional council will find the best solution. It is not possible to equate public management with private management in the face of landscape and cultural assets, such as the Neptune's Cave in Alghero , of inestimable environmental value, which cannot be understood and treated as any ordinary state concession".
Words from the mayor of Alghero, Mario Conoci, on the sidelines of the meeting of the municipal executive led by him which yesterday positively approved the resolution with which the guidelines are given regarding the renewal of state concessions with public and public purposes included in the municipality of Alghero .
