Yet another road accident has occurred at the intersection of Provincial Roads 10 and 11. This evening, two cars collided, injuring five people, though (according to initial reports) the injuries were not serious.
According to the Highway Patrol's reconstruction, the collision occurred at the intersection: one car was traveling from Riola to Narbolia, while the other crossed the intersection headed toward San Vero Milis. The impact was very violent, and 118 emergency responders responded to the scene and provided first aid to the five injured. Initially, the condition of one of the people involved appeared more serious, so much so that an Areus helicopter was requested, but it later departed empty. The injured were taken to San Martino Hospital in Oristano for further assessment, but initial findings suggest none are in serious condition.
A team of firefighters from the Oristano headquarters also responded to the provincial road and secured the vehicles, in addition to traffic police officers who carried out surveys to reconstruct the accident dynamics and ascertain any responsibilities.
