Tomorrow at 10:30 a.m., the Cagliari Juvenile Court will hold a hearing to validate the arrest of the 16-year-old accused of the murder of Simone Concas, the 19-year-old stabbed to death on Wednesday afternoon in Bari Sardo, Ogliastra, after intentionally hitting the suspect's sister with his car, seriously injuring her.

The minor showed up at the Lanusei Carabinieri station a few hours after the murder and said he had defended himself. Assisted by lawyer Marcello Caddori, the 16-year-old immediately admitted to stabbing Concas, but provided investigators with important details that helped them understand the context surrounding the tragedy .

According to the suspect, who submitted himself to the examination of the Lanusei prosecutor, Paola Dal Monte, Concas was obsessed with the arrested man's sister , a 22-year-old university student, already engaged to another boy from Bari Sardo: for at least a couple of weeks he had been stalking her, wanting to have a relationship with her, who rejected him.

For this reason - according to the defense's argument - on Wednesday afternoon, seeing her with her boyfriend and brother, the 19-year-old hit her with his car, causing her leg fractures and a head injury.

The sixteen-year-old, now incarcerated in the Quartucciu juvenile detention center, allegedly chased the youth, who then threatened him with a knife. During the struggle, the weapon fell from Concas's hand, and the minor—according to the version given to investigators— picked it up and then struck in self-defense .
