Muravera is safer thanks to comprehensive monitoring in case of severe weather and heavy rain. Sensors and alarm systems will be installed in the coming days, "providing real-time access to the data needed to assess the evolution of the current weather and promptly alert the population during adverse weather events."

The project, funded by the Region (called “Proterina4Future”), involves the installation of two alarm systems: one in front of the municipal sports field (southern entrance to the town) and another on Bacu Arrodas Street.

Two water monitoring sensors will then be installed, one along the high-water channel (at the intersection of Viale dei Platani and Via Sarrabus) and a second near the former market area (bordering the municipal eco-center, also near Via dei Platani). The regional project's goal is also to "expand," as stated in the resolution approved by the Muravera City Council, "the ability to respond to sudden and rapid events such as flash floods."

Several interventions have been carried out in recent years to mitigate risks. The last flood—that of 2018—reported significant damage, particularly in the Costa Rei area.
