A semi-submerged iron barrel lies in the waters of Feraxi, Muravera: the Arbatax Port Authority has closed off a 20-meter stretch of sea and public maritime property.

The barrel was spotted washed ashore and partially submerged along the Feraxi beach. The order, signed by Lieutenant Mattia Caniglia, was issued to ensure public safety, navigational safety, and the protection of human life at sea.

The metal container, it is clarified in a note, represents an isolated danger for swimmers and boats.

The affected area, within a radius of twenty meters around the marked point, is prohibited to any sea use activity and maritime traffic until the object is removed or the danger has passed.

The Arbatax Port Authority recommends maximum caution even in adjacent areas, as the barrel could move due to currents or storm surges.
