Mourning in Orani: Paolo Modolo, the king of velvet, has died

Paolo Modolo, the king of velvet, who with his Orani tailoring shop enhanced and renewed the tradition, died this morning.

Born in 1946, a serious illness this morning around 6 took him away from the affection of his loved ones, who together with him carry on the historic and famous tailoring business.

For a couple of months his health conditions had worsened. The entire community is in mourning.
