A fire broke out near the Monti train station, affecting a large expanse of Mediterranean scrub bordering a gas cylinder and tank supply company. High flames were visible from the Olbia-Sassari road, and a helicopter and ground vehicles from the Fire Department, Forestas, and the Monti Barracellare company were in action. The municipal administration posted a notice on social media urging residents to avoid driving on Provincial Road 147 to avoid hindering the firefighting operations currently underway to try to contain the fire, which has been burning for about an hour.
