Monserrato: Unemployed man escapes house arrest and faces prison time

A thirty-year-old man from Monserrato was not found at the home where he is serving house arrest. He was reported for escape by the Carabinieri of Quartu and Monserrato, who are conducting a prevention operation in the hinterland. The young unemployed man now faces charges of escape as well.
The man was currently under house arrest at his home. Last night, officers conducted repeated checks at the place where he was serving his sentence, but were unable to locate him. Immediate investigations confirmed the man's unauthorized departure, in violation of judicial orders.
Once the irregularity was documented, the Carabinieri informed the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Cagliari for a subsequent assessment of the young man's situation and any possible aggravation of the ongoing precautionary measure.
