There were moments of fear this late afternoon on Via 21 Aprile, in Monserrato , where two girls, aged 12 and 13, were struck by a Smart car while crossing the street . The impact, which occurred for reasons still under investigation, immediately attracted the attention of passersby, who alerted emergency services.
An ambulance from 118 responded to the scene: paramedics provided first aid to the two minors, who were then transported to the Policlinico Hospital with a yellow code for further assessments.
Local police officers from Monserrato have carried out surveys to reconstruct the incident: the investigation is being coordinated by Commander Mauro Soru.
Traffic in the area has been slowed.
