A fire broke out in a ground-floor apartment in Monserrato, causing widespread fear. Smoke billowed through the upper floors of the house, trapping a family . Cagliari firefighters had to intervene to rescue two adults and two children , extricating them from the building.
The fire broke out in a house on Via Cesare Cabras around midnight . The firefighters were immediately notified, and they quickly arrived to rescue the four people, who were then entrusted to the on-site care of 118 emergency personnel. Two people were taken to the hospital for checks.
Firefighters then extinguished the flames, which caused damage to the ground floor of the building. Initial reconstructions suggest the cause of the fire was an electrical system problem .
