A second victim of botulism poisoning in Monserrato has been identified: Valeria Sollai, 62.

The death toll in Sardinia from botulism poisoning linked to the "Fiesta Latina" held last July in Monserrato has risen to two. A 62-year-old woman, Valeria Sollai, who had been hospitalized for weeks in intensive care at the city's university hospital, died overnight.

The patient struggled for weeks against the serious consequences of the poisoning, but her condition progressively worsened until the tragic epilogue.
She is the second person to lose her life following the episode: on August 8th, Roberta Pitzalis, 38 years old, died, the first woman to be hospitalized for poisoning , transferred first to the Brotzu hospital and then to the Businco in Cagliari.
