For Friday 27 December, Abbanoa technicians are planning to connect the new section of pipeline exiting the San Michele reservoir that supplies the Barracca Manna area and the Municipality of Monserrato.

This is an intervention of the plan to improve the efficiency of the water network of the city of Cagliari , planned by the technicians of the District of the capital and to include in the extraordinary maintenance program. The old steel pipeline was no longer adequate to guarantee an optimal service: for this reason, the replacement was planned .

In the last few days , the new pipes in spheroidal cast iron, a material that guarantees the best seal, have been positioned and the connections have been prepared. The connection operations will be carried out on Friday. Since it is an important pipeline, with a diameter of half a meter, the work will take the whole day from 8:30 to 17:00.

During this time slot, it will be necessary to suspend water supply to Barracca Manna and Monserrato. The Manager's technicians will proceed with network operations that allow for the supply to be guaranteed with secondary pipelines and to narrow the areas affected by any pressure drops and temporary interruptions. The supply will be restored in advance if the intervention requires less time than expected.

Any anomaly can be reported to the Abbanoa fault reporting service via the toll-free number 800.022.040, active 24 hours a day.
