Murder overnight in Monserrato . A 23-year-old local bricklayer died after being shot in the chest.

The alarm was raised during the night, immediately activating the emergency services. Emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene and made every effort to resuscitate the boy . Unfortunately, the severity of the injury proved fatal, and despite the prolonged and desperate efforts of the medical team, there was nothing that could be done for the 23-year-old.

The area of the event was promptly cordoned off by the Carabinieri of the Cagliari Provincial Command and the Quartu Sant'Elena Company, who intervened in force to secure the area and allow the initial and essential technical and scientific surveys to be carried out by the survey team of the Investigative Unit.

The military immediately began a thorough investigation , collecting all useful information on site in order to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the events and identify those responsible.
