Last summer they had carried out a violent robbery in the Marina district of Cagliari. And according to investigators they were planning other similar robberies. But the criminal activity of a gang of three people from Cagliari was blocked by the Carabinieri of the investigative unit: this morning they were taken to prison in execution of a precautionary custody order in prison, in Uta, issued by the judge for preliminary investigations. The following ended up in jail : Oussama Moi, 37, who was already under house arrest; Marco Melis, 33, and Gabriele Melis, 47 , all characters already known to the police

The investigations, long and complex, allowed to attribute to the three the responsibility of a robbery that took place in the port district of the capital and the alleged planning of other robberies: the target were foreign traders, managers of money transfer services.

The most serious episode dates back to June 4, 2024, when an Indian was brutally attacked, suffering serious injuries, and robbed of a large sum of money kept in a purse.

Thanks to constant monitoring, the Carabinieri were able to prevent further robberies that could have been carried out in the following months. The investigative activity was supported by careful reconstruction work, which allowed them to outline the modus operandi and collect a detailed circumstantial framework.
