All three suspects are facing murder charges for the murder of Leonardo Mocci. Not only Pirri's two brothers, but also the young man from Quartu, initially investigated only for aiding and abetting.

In recent days, they have all reportedly been questioned by the Prosecutor's Office. The man from Quartu, whose charges have been changed, has apparently exercised his right to remain silent. According to investigators' theories, he planned the trap that lured Leonardo Mocci and a friend from Serramanna to Piazza Settimio Severo.

The trap

According to the reconstruction, the bricklayer accompanied the other young man, perhaps fearful of having to go to the meeting alone. A major drug deal was supposed to be finalized in the parking lots between the five brick-colored buildings of Monserrato. However, a gang of robbers, who always operated in the same way, was apparently waiting for the two young men.

They lured young people interested in purchasing large quantities of narcotics, then attacked them and stole the money. However, none of the previous robberies ended in bloodshed, as happened a week ago in Piazza Settimio Severo, when Mocci intervened to defend his attacked friend, only to be killed with a single gunshot fired from less than two meters away. The victim's friend, who was also questioned by investigators, managed to escape in the bricklayer's Panda.
