For a scam of over one million euros, linked to the fictitious sale of luxury yachts, five people are investigated by the Arbatax Finance Police at the end of the "Five Sisters" operation which, which lasted about two years, took place under the direction of the Attorney of the Republic of Lanusei Biagio Mazzeo.
The dismantled organization was made up of legal and technical representatives, operating in various companies in different regions of Italy. The yachts, complete with engines, were intended for commercial activity on the Ogliastra coast, for a total value of over 861 thousand euros; to these is added the purchase of three molds for the construction of a hull called "House Boat Luxury" for a value of 284 thousand euros.
The Fiamme Gialle focused on some companies with specific precedents in criminal, fiscal and bankruptcy matters, one of which is present in the Ogliastra area and active in the nautical sector. The unlawful conduct, carried out by several people in competition with each other, therefore emerged through the issue of invoices and transport documents for non-existent operations.
The five suspects are directly and indirectly attributable to the companies that simulated the sale of boats, to illegally obtain financing from an international company that in the end did not receive the due consideration.
