After the charges that sent them to trial, and for which they were convicted in the first instance , here is another blow for the two alleged leaders of a cocaine trafficking organization imported into the provinces of Cagliari and Sassari until 2023, when the Flying Squad of the capital city broke up the trafficking ring with its investigations.

The Chief Prosecutor of the Cagliari Court, Rodolfo Sabelli, and the Cagliari Police Chief, Rosanna Lavezzaro, have signed the seizure order for assets worth over two million euros held by the two suspects suspected of being at the top of the criminal organization, for which the Court has already handed down 27 convictions (but will continue to the appeals trial).

The measure, drawn up after meticulous work by the Anti-Crime Division of the Cagliari Police Headquarters , headed by Chief Roberto Cilona, has led to the imprisonment of Christian Pireddu, 38 years old, from Orani, and Bastiano Sanna, 36 years old, from Silanus.

In the provinces of Cagliari, Sassari, and Nuoro, 11 plots of land and buildings were seized, as well as a sole proprietorship, the shares and business assets of three agricultural and pastoral companies and real estate leasing companies, five vehicles, and various financial transactions. In short, as Cagliari Police Chief Lavezzaro explained, the Anticrime Unit has emptied the criminal gang's coffers.

Part of the trafficking proceeds was reinvested in drugs, the rest in assets and businesses that are now under seizure and have begun the process toward final confiscation . The criminal proceedings will continue in parallel, and entirely separately.
