«Minister Crosetto guarantees that he has identified additional resources to allow regularity and continuity of payments, but the delays in the disbursement of compensation continue and, in some cases, the arrears would have reached several years by now».

This was stated by the deputy of the Alliance-Greens and the left, Francesca Ghirra, regarding the question on the presence of military servitudes in Sardinia and on the delays in the payment of compensation due to the Municipalities.

The progressive deputy presented two new questions, on the one hand to once again urge the rapid settlement of the compensation due, to review the current calculation coefficient - which takes into account the real impact of the easements on the territory, on productive activities and on the health of citizens - and know the procedures established for the completion of military divestments already defined.

On the other hand, to understand how we intend to «contribute to the sustainable development of Sardinia» to which the minister refers in the answer to the question «through investments aimed at increasing scientific research, technological development, innovation, even in a dual key, as well as industrial and civil development programmes".

Last autumn the mayors of the Sardinian municipalities affected by the easements learned from a certified e-mail from the Bank of Italy that the funds intended for them had been seized and that the timing of the liquidations was uncertain. «We Sardinians are well aware of the enormous problems and critical issues that military ranges and servitudes have entailed and continue to entail for the development of our region», declares the progressive deputy, «for this reason it is intolerable to continue to feel that the military presence on the island is still necessary and even precious. It would be good if this value were recognized in our territories, which are in constant crisis due to the presence of shooting ranges and easements and which over the years have seen their development possibilities debased and mortified."
