The curtain falls. Mayor Graziano Milia, recently re-elected to lead the Municipality, presents the new Via Porcu executive in record time: five confirmed councilors, three new additions to the council , with a small reshuffle of some responsibilities.
The leadership of the Department of Transportation is changing: Elisabetta Atzori is being replaced by Romina Mura , originally from Sadali, where she served as mayor for two terms. A former member of the Democratic Party and a former member of parliament, Mura will also take over the responsibilities for Sustainable Mobility and the Environment. At the helm of the Department of Public Education, Sport, Innovation, Gender Policies, and LGBTQ +—in the previous administration headed by Cinzia Carta, who this time joins the Council—the mayor has appointed Marcella Marini , a member of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) and the most voted member of the Avanti list, which, however, did not win a seat in the civic assembly. Marini previously served as a city councilor in Stefano Delunas's term.
The office of Councillor for Flumini and extra-urban territories has been confirmed, but outgoing Councillor Tiziana Cogoni will not be at the helm: Milia has given the mandate to Monica Sotgiu , candidate and first of the non-elected on the list of the Citizens for Flumini movement, who therefore maintains representation in the Council as well.
Milia's executive is otherwise the same one it has been in place for the past five and a half years: his deputy remains the former mayor of Villasimius, Tore Sanna , a point of reference for managers and officials in the town hall, who also holds responsibilities for Tourism, Personnel, and Relations with the City Council; Marco Camboni remains in charge of Social Services and Generational Policies; Antonio Conti in charge of Public Works, Technological Services, and Maintenance; Rossana Perra has been confirmed for Productive Activities and Territorial Development. And Aldo Vanini in charge of Urban Planning and Strategic Planning .
