New migrant landings along the Sulcis coast.
During the night just passed, the Carabinieri of the Giba and Cortoghiana Stations were involved in two separate rescue operations . In the Porto Pino area, the military of the Giba Station, following a report , tracked down and rescued 13 non-EU citizens, of whom 12 were men and 1 woman , all adults and in apparently good health and of alleged Algerian nationality . The vessel used was not found.
In the locality of Is Cinus and always following a report, the Carabinieri of Cortoghiana tracked down and rescued another 4 non-EU citizens , all adult men and of alleged Algerian nationality, who had also arrived shortly before along that coast. Also in this case, the vessel was not located.
All migrants, once the formal procedures were completed, were accompanied to the First Reception Centre (CPA) in Monastir.
