Landings continue in Southern Sardinia, and this morning a challenging rescue of migrants was also necessary

After two small boats carrying 24 people arrived in Teulada during the night, a third group managed to reach a small cove southwest of the island of Sant'Antioco under unclear circumstances . It's a rugged area, where climbing the cliff is very difficult: only two people managed to do so and called for help .

The operations center immediately alerted 118, sending an ambulance from Calasetta Rescue to the area, as well as the Carbonia firefighters by land, and the Coast Guard and the Guardia di Finanza by sea.

According to reports, they said that a smuggler dropped them off a short distance from the cove , a circumstance that needs to be investigated.

And in the afternoon, another group arrived in Porto Pino .
