Michela Rubiu, the 47-year-old woman from Solanas who was left near death by her husband Alessandro Pintus with a gunshot to the head, is in desperate conditions .

And all that remains for her fellow citizens is prayer: after last night's vigil in the parish church, a church packed with the faithful (including several tourists), for tomorrow, Saturday, "a family member and friends of Michela" have organized a torchlight procession through the streets of the tourist village of Sinnai, which will be preceded by the 8:00 PM Mass . The service will be celebrated by the parish priest of Solanas, Diego Zanda.

This is the statement from those who proposed the torchlight procession: "I ask all those who can come to join in this moment of prayer for Michela," said Ilaria Scioni, the initiator of the initiative for her cousin who is fighting for her life.

Mayor Barbara Pusceddu responded to the appeal, as did the parish priest, Don Diego, who invited the public to join the Mass, which will be followed by a torchlight procession. The procession will follow the same route as the procession originally scheduled for Sunday's Feast of Our Lady of Trust, which has been brought forward to Saturday, July 25th. Many residents and officials will be present, and will be there to support the woman's family.
